Grass Fire

Six BVFD members rolled on a grass fire this evening sometime around 6:30 p.m. The fire was north of town just shy of Leona Ranch. There were no structures involved. The bad part was the wind and the lack of rain. It's plenty dry 'round these parts lately! A cold front is blowing in tonight and it's been very gusty so BVFD had to sit out there on-site until around 9:00 p.m to make sure the fire didn't flare up again. Official report to be added later.
